Founded in 1974 in East Falmouth, Massachusetts, ACC is a pioneer in the development and production of Limulus Amebocyte Lysate (LAL) for endotoxin detection. ACC was the first company to receive FDA licensing to produce LAL reagents and has been a global leader in endotoxin detection and (1→3)-β-D-glucan for over 50 years.

ACC leads in endotoxin detection innovation by introducing PyroSmart NextGen®, the first recombinant reagent that is completely free of horseshoe crab blood while still utilizing the traditional LAL enzymatic pathway. This allows laboratories to transition to a more sustainable solution without needing to change existing testing methods or equipment.
